NEW GARAGE GYM

I recently renovated my oversized double garage into a functional gym for my personal training business.
Commercial gyms are now open again, but that doesn't mean that everyone is feeling ready or comfortable going back.
My gym is heated, open all year, and has everything needed to have an effective, safe workout.
With weather permitting, I often keep the garage door open and utilize the driveway space as well as have open fresh air for your session.

ABOUT ME

Matt Maclean


Matt MacLean, started his journey in the fitness industry working at a gym in his home town of Bonnyville at age 16. He moved to Edmonton right after high school to pursue his future fitness career. Matt graduated from the NAIT Personal Fitness Trainer program in 2005 and started his official career as a trainer in his last semester. Matt has now done well over 16,000 personal training sessions and specializes in Functional Fitness including years of experience in Obstacle Course Racing, Trail Running, Crossfit, Ninja Warrior, Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Bodybuilding. His training style reflects this by combining a vast variety of fitness modalities with the absolute goal in mind being optimization of overall physical attributes and abilities such as strength, power, endurance, balance, coordination, mobility and durability.

Matt has a beautiful young family who also share his passion for fitness with their oldest son in hockey, soccer, basketball, ninja warrior and jujitsu and his little sister soon to start.

Matt is very grateful to do what he loves for a living and is committed to delivering the highest quality product possible for everyone he has the pleasure to work with.

We have created a solid team of athletes who train and compete together in OCR races, trail races, and mountain relay races. We recently competed together in the Sinister 7 Race and are currently training for the Red Deer Spartan race.
I provide fitness programming as well as in-person team training with mock OCR races to prepare us for not only the running aspect, but the obstacles as well.

The online programs are equipped with video exercise tutorials specific to your program, metric's to tack your progress, software including a calendar for planning, nutrition log, progress picture upload, and much more.

As a former Hockey player with a promising future, sudden injury sidelined me and my window had passed. Over the next few years my fitness level was on a steady decline.
